FAQ

It seems that the main work related to wedding ceremonies is at weekends. What work is carried out during weekdays?
During weekdays staffs are in charge of banquets such as general corporate parties and ladies' lunches.
What are the working hours?
Staffs work on a shift-based schedule that changes every month. Depending on circumstances, we adjust the working hours, setting early/ late shifts, etc.
What about days off?
Staffs are entitled to 104 days off a year. These include the eight legal holidays a month, three days off in the summer holiday, and five days off in the winter break.
There are also other types of holiday including paid holidays and special leave for weddings and funerals
Do you provide any benefits?
Yes. The benefits we provide include travel expenses, suit allowance, massage allowance, a qualification acquisition support system, overseas training, and a managerial position allowance. (We began implementing some of our benefits such as suit allowance and massage allowance after receiving requests from staffs.)
Do you have plans to expand the business in the future?
At present we are focused on the service sector. However, we are considering the direct management of catering business by increasing our planners and kitchen staffs in the future.
What is a Paper Planner?
A Paper Planner is a person who makes a proposal and prepares paper items needed for wedding ceremonies. Examples of such items include the wedding invitations sent out to the guests and the guests’ name cards attached to the seating plan / reserved seats showing where each guest sits on the day.
What work is done in the Paper Division?
Staffs in the Paper Division carry out meetings with the bride and groom to discuss the design and the number of invitations and seating plans. They then undertake the printing and preparation of the decided items and deliver the finished items to the customers after inspection.
What are the opportunities for career advancement?
There are certain skills that will enable you to advance to a managerial position. Those who have cleared such targets will be able to sit an interview and advance to management.
Are there staff reshuffles?
There is variation between stores, so there are reshuffles that allow career advancement. Generally speaking, staff reshuffles are carried out with the permission of the individuals involved.
How are work placements decided?
Investigations of the individual’s personality etc. are carried out within the company through interviews and consultations. We then decide on the store that best suits that individual.
What are the duties during wedding receptions?
Primarily the coordination of the service staff at the venue. Depending on the venue, there will be captains who guide the newlyweds, front work to guide the guests, and chapel work to assist ceremonies
What are the wages like?
There are basic salaries which close at the end of the month and are paid out on the 20th day of the following month (if the 20th falls on Saturday/Sunday/public holiday, payment will be on the day before.) Salaries vary for each managerial position.
I don’t have any experience. Is that a problem?
Training will be provided so don’t worry. Newly graduated members will receive one month’s training and then be assigned to a store. Work placements for mid-career recruits will be decided in advance, and they will receive training at their assigned destinations.
